Taking a Beach “Momcation” to Alabama’s Gulf Shores

Remember those Choose-Your-Own-Adventure books from the 1980s? You would be faced with a choice like the following:

You hear a loud noise coming from down the hallway. There’s no one home. What do you do?

Run out of the house. Turn to page 26

Open the door at the end of the hallway. Turn to page 17

And if you’re anything like me, you would make your choice and if you didn’t like the outcome, you’d flip back and pretend like you didn’t mean to make that choice and do the other thing. (I know we all did it).

Now imagine taking a vacation just like that. Except instead of choosing YOUR own adventure, you get to choose someone else’s and watch it play out on social media.

Does that excite you or stress you out? Honestly, it does a little bit of both for me because I’m the one that you’ll be choosing for!

Next week, I’m heading to the Gulf Shores of Alabama for a beach momcation. That means me and another mom (Sarah from Sarah in the Suburbs) are leaving our families behind for a few days of girl time.

We’re planning to explore, eat, drink, and enjoy and we need YOU to help us choose our adventure!
