I was recently hosted by Hilton Orlando Bonnet Creek to experience their Marathon Weekend package during a runDisney race weekend. I’m sharing this review with She’s On the Go in exchange for accommodations that weekend.
While I’m not a super fast runner, I am a runDisney fanatic.
I love everything about these race weekends: the parks, the courses, the medals, and of course, the costumes!
I’ve attended the race weekends with family a few times, but my favorite trips are going with the girls.
It’s our time to unwind, relax, and have some laughs. Ladies: travel with your girlfriends! You won’t regret it, I promise.
The Princess Half Marathon is coming up soon which is the perfect time to tell you why I’d recommend a stay at the Hilton Orlando Bonnet Creek for your next runDisney weekend.

When I pulled up to this hotel, I knew I was in for a treat.
The location is ideal for a runDisney enthusiast: it’s basically across the street from Epcot. You can’t ask for more with those early race mornings looming ahead!
The staff was welcoming and attentive. They asked me if I was checking in for the race weekend and directed me to the appropriate desk for check-in.
The runners’ concierge was a special bonus!
If I had questions about where to go or what time to be somewhere, they were all over it!
This is where runners also check in for race morning transportation – a huge perk to staying at this off-site resort.
The other huge perk that spoke to me was being so close to Disney that I could see fireworks from my room, but not feel like I was in a cartoon.
Don’t get me wrong- I absolutely love the Disney resorts! But this hotel gives you the grown-up experience that a girls weekend away deserves.
What Female Travelers Will Love About Hilton Orlando Bonnet Creek
The Spa.
The Room Service.
The Fitness Room.
The Pool.
This lazy river is legit! While it was too cold for me to jump in, it certainly wasn’t for a lot of people I saw floating by.
I also give thumbs up for the amenities in the lobby such as Muse, the marketplace/coffee shop open 24-hours a day (with killer red velvet cake cupcakes!).
It is important to me that something is available to eat after a long night at the parks!
The rooms are also spacious and comfortable with plenty of closet and drawer space. I was lucky enough to be on the 18th floor and had a beautiful view of the sunset each evening.
Swoon.
Marathon Weekends at Hilton Orlando Bonnet Creek
The Hilton Orlando Bonnet Creek has everything I want in a hotel for a runDisney weekend on it’s own, but they added some awesome perks to sweeten the deal.
If you book with the Marathon Weekends package you get a whole lot more.
Transportation to the half marathon and marathon races is provided, along with a fun send-off party!
These cheerleaders were hyping up the runners on the way to the bus.
The hotel also sets out an impressive array of food and drink that will make every runner in the corrals jealous.
Coffee, bananas, bagels, water, Powerade, and granola bars were just a few of the items out for runners in the morning.
Mmmmm… coffee. The breakfast of champions!
There’s also a lovely runners reception with a fabulous lunch, as well as a late checkout on race day.
Yup; they had me at late checkout. This is probably my biggest complaint about staying onsite for a race weekend and Hilton Orlando Bonnet Creek is my hero for offering this perk!
