Best Flip Flops for Summer Travel

The summer season is upon us and you know what that means?!! Time to break out the flip flops and let our toes bask in the glorious sunshine!  As travelers we look for two things when it comes to our flip flops…Comfort and Style. We need them to be comfortable enough to wear wandering around cities and countrysides and we also need them to be stylish enough to wear with shorts or capris during the day or with a pretty skirt or sundress for a night on the town. The She’s On The Go team rounded up some our favorites to give you our recommendations for the best flip flops to wear on your travels this summer:

Fadra loves FitFlops

When I found them on clearance at my local Marshalls, I decided to take a chance on these high-end flip flops and I’m so glad I did. What I loved about the FitFlop Women’s Lulu Metallic Snake Flip-Flops (which is what I actually bought) is that they had enough “bling” that I could look stylish wearing them with shorts or jeans and still look casually elegant when I wore them with summer dresses. And they are super comfortable with just the right amount of support.

How do I know all this? They were my go-to flip-flops on my recent cruise on the Carnival Vista!

Susan Loves the Reef Dreams and the Merrell Terran Convertible II

I’m all about comfort and my go-to Flip Flops for travel (and everyday wear too) are super comfortable and casual. The Reef Dreams Flip Flops really are a dream to walk in.
Your feet feel like they’re treading on a soft pillowy mattress all while giving you just the right amount of arch support. Julie Loves the Sanuk Yoga Sling 2 Flip Flop

I love Sanuk’s yoga mat flip flops and recently bought of pair of these slings. They have a bunch of different colors to choose from and they can be worn with pretty much anything! AND, they are super comfy!!

Andrea Loves the Reef Men’s Smoothy Sandal

I have yet to find a shoe that is as comfortable as the Reef Men’s Smoothy Sandal. Yes, I said Men’s! Don’t be fooled into the women’s version. They are WAY too narrow and not nearly as comfy as the Men’s version.

Cam Loves the HO’ŌPIO LEATHER by OluKai

You’ll have your HO’ŌPIO’s  forever and your feet will thank you every day you wear them. Living in San Diego, I live in these and can walk miles in them. Heavenly. I need to be a paid rep for them since I rave about them to anyone who will listen! Also, my kids and husband wear them too!

Bonus Recommendation Birkenstock Mayari

Although the Birkenstock Mayari‘s are on the pricey side, they are worth every dime. The contoured cork footbed gives great arch support. The sole is cushioned and provides shock absorption. I traipsed all over Italy in them last summer and my feet were never sore. These sandals actually look better the older they are because the leather softens and gets a beautiful natural patina as they age.
