I love Winter. Yes, I do… the cold temps, the snowy landscapes, and, most importantly (for me anyway), the clothes! Give me a big fluffy sweater and some furry boots and I’m in comfy wardrobe heaven! However, traveling to cold climates can be a challenge, especially when it comes to packing. Winter clothes are often bulky and that makes for less room in your suitcase and a big issue if you’re the carry-on only type. You’re in luck though, I’m sharing my top 10 warm and cozy fashion finds that are perfect for Winter travel. They’re not only easy to pack but they’ll also have you looking your best whether you’re on the plane, on the slopes, or sipping wine fireside.
Plaid Blanket Scarf – I have this exact scarf and it’s been a wardrobe staple of mine for the past 3 years. It can be worn a number of different ways and goes with pretty much anything. It can also be folded/rolled up quite small. I usually throw it in my backpack so it’s ready and waiting whenever I want to spruce up an outfit.
Long Sleeve Open Front Chunky Warm Cardigan – Yes, it says chunky but it’s not “bulky”. This sweater can be worn with leggings or your favorite pair of distressed jeans and again, matches with almost anything.
Long Sleeve Speckled Fringe Open Front Cardigan – The fringe here is everything! The neckline is great too because you can bring it up high on your neck like a turtleneck or scrunch it down to cowl it. Add a pair of leggings and some riding boots and you are good to go either day or night.
Mersea Travel Wrap – My friend and partner here at She’s On the Go, Fadra, gifted me with this amazing wrap! Funny story, it was included in her travel lovers gift guide on her personal website All Things Fadra and I called her to tell her how much I wanted it and had it in my shopping cart waiting to purchase. Well, I was told not to buy it and ended up ruining her surprise so, sorry Fadra and thank you, this wrap is truly one of my favorite gifts ever. It’s gone with me on two road trips and two flights so far and I love how I can use it as a blanket, fold it into a pillow, and then wear it anywhere. It’s perfect for a day wandering the streets of NYC or to wear over a fancy dress for an evening out. It comes in lots of colors and some prints as well.
Pajar Genevieve Snow Boot – These are by far the warmest and most comfortable boots I have ever owned. I purchased my first pair of Pajar boots (the Melissa) during a trip to Montreal and I am now and forever a Pajar loyalist. They’re lightweight but a little bulky because of the fur cuff so I suggest that you wear them on the plane and not carry them in your bag. They’re super easy to slip off for security checks and will keep your feet warm and dry in the snowiest of weather.
Inornever Knee High Winter Snow Boots – For a dressier (and less expensive) option I love these riding boots by Inornever. They’re waterproof and have a treaded sole to keep you from slipping in the snow and can be worn with both casual and dressy attire.
Meso Knee Length Boot Socks – These socks come in a multi-color pack of five and I bring every single pair with me when I am traveling someplace cold. They’re so soft and really help to keep your legs warm under your pants/boots.
GLOUE Touchscreen Gloves – Perfect for texting and taking photos while keeping your hands from freezing. Plus, how cute are the little pom-pom accents?!!
HindaWi Slouchy Beanie and Infinity Scarf Set – You’ll look adorable while keeping your head and neck covered. I have this exact set in red and wear it on the ski slopes so my family can easily find me in a crowd. It also comes in cream, black, brown, and light grey.
Mose Ladies Parka Overcoat – I absolutely LOVE this coat! It’s really lightweight but it keeps you warm and can be folded compactly so it doesn’t take up a lot of room in your bag. The wide collar and cinched waistline of this coat give it such a pretty feminine flair. AND, you guys… It’s only $39!! You read that right! THIRTY-NINE DOLLARS!!! Hurry up and grab one before they’re all gone!
As you can see, bundling up doesn’t have to be bulky and these pieces are perfect for your Wintertime wandering! What’s your favorite Winter travel fashion find? Is there an item you just can’t leave home without? Let us know in the comments!
